Lovely weather in Lincoln city

It has been absolutely fabulous weather and a great weekend in Lincoln city and Portland! Amazingly warm and I'm in heaven. Tomorrow it's back to work and still it's supposed to be warm for awhile longer, I'm so glad....

Back to work and beachy weekend coming up

I was able to get back to work starting today although I have no idea how or what they did to arrange this, I know they didn't speak to my doctor nor really other than saying I could go back to work I wasn't really told much of anything.
I'm sure I won't be paid by the L&I company since my 90 days is up, who came up with 90 days I'd like to know why?

But.. I see the doctor in two weeks and hopefully she will release me for full time duty.

We have a date with the beach this weekend, we are all so excited to go, I have a house/pet sitter coming for the weekend and we are all so hyped to see the beach hopefully they weather will change to something more beach worthy... But if it doesn't the hotel has an indoor pool!!

And is close to shopping....

Work Update

Well after bi.. umm complaining about why I can't work when the Doctor says I can, my boss spoke to the Employee Health person and it looks like I'll be able to work again starting next week. So it looks like I'll be only doing 2 weeks of this modified work stuff until the doctor releases me. I will get paid for this past week I was told I couldn't work but I think I won't after that so we will be out some money the next 2 weeks.

On a new note....

If only the weather would cooperate... It's been raining for days now and although the weather person said it would be mostly sunny today I'm not sure where he pulled that out of.. because it's done rained and been cloudy all day.. and from what I see it will be all next week also..

Save me from the gray weather please!!!

Ahh work I love it!!!

Well my job has decided, or at least the employee health department, that since I'm not improving.... umm glad you think so..... that I can't work again until after I see the doctor in July..."oh well maybe you'll be released for full duty in July".

I'm thinking well yep your right I might but I sure hope since I've now been FORCED to take ~3 weeks off work, yes I will be paid 66% of my wages during this time, I sure hope I don't re-injure myself going back to work full time the first day I go back since YOU are forcing me to take ~3 weeks off....

Oh did I mention it's 2 weeks at the end of June and a week and a half in July...

Oh I'm so sad that YOU forced me to do this...

Other then It screws up the people I work with.. and I happen to like working and my job!!

So since I can't work, I guess it's time to do my home spring cleaning, yard work, and finish with my garden....

Did I mention, YOUR the ones who forced me to not work even though I'm capable of working 8 hours a day per my doctors instructions...

So for 8 hours a day, I'll do my spring cleaning and move on from there.......

Frustrated

Well the doctor told me another month since I had back pain last week, I tried to explain that I had slept badly and maybe that was the cause but she didn't care, she is afraid to release me too soon she says. boo hoo!!!!

I have father's day off so we'll need to take DH someplace nice now just need to figure out where :-)

Maybe a hike if the weather cooperates.

Working and Doctor's Appt.

     All we have been doing is working and by working I mean he works I’m off, I work he’s off! We don’t have a bunch of days off in a row together until the end of the month and we plan on doing something, going somewhere! I have already arranged a house sitter for our pets and home safety.

     School is officially out tomorrow at 11:30 am, my son is so excited for no school, I’m sure he’s thinking that he will be able to stay up all night now and play games on the Xbox!

NOT!!!

But he can wish all he wants to….

     I go to the Doctor today and will find out if I get to go back to work full time or continue only working 8 hours a day. I had a bad day yesterday, my back hurt badly pretty much most of the morning, I’m trying to attribute it to not sleeping well the night before.  But today it actually hurts a little bit and I slept well last night..

     I’m going to look at our bucket list and see if we can pin down what we want to do at the end of the month.. A lot of it will depend on what our weather is like, rainy and cool, we most likely will drive a ways, rainy and nice, and we’ll stay here and do stuff.  Warm or Hot we will definitely stay and do stuff locally.

How we are doing

Well our sweet kitten is almost back to normal, he's still slow and wary at times but he's eating, doing his business and walking around. He's very wary when people come near him and flinches at times, hopefully this will change, and he rarely leaves my office desk unless it's to do his business or get water. I'm sure he feels safe in here.

Our other two kittens have vet appointments next week to make them both it's instead of he's. We'll do Ghost in a month per the vets orders and we'll do mama at the same time.

The weather has been perfect for doing outside stuff and although DH has to work this weekend I'm looking forward to getting some stuff done around the house and the last few days of school and all of the events they have for that..  Today is BBQ day at school!

We have scheduled some days off together at the end of this month and next month so we are planning some hiking and traveling during those days. I'll need to arrange a house sitter though for our animals and that will be the hard part. Maybe I'll ask my nephew to come up and do it..

Kitten update and great weather coming

Well he is doing a little bit better, he spent all Thursday at the vet's office. Laid around our house Friday and I took him back to have his IV removed. She said he was doing a little better and would just do supportive care, so we took him home again and he's been on antibiotics and pain medication for 3 days. We still think he's mostly blind but he does now walk around the house and so far hasn't walked into anything. I'm going to make an appointment today and have her look at his eyes, his blindish eye smells to me and I want to make sure he doesn't have an infection in that eye.

On a strange note, his mother and one of his brothers hiss at him every time he goes near them which I think is odd, his other brother doesn't and in fact plays with and interacts with him even though he doesn't really play much yet. He is jumping up on chairs and our computer desks again though and even though she told us to give him baby food and soft cat food he is now eating regular dry food also..

On a great note!! The weather is supposed to be great for at least 3 weeks and I have big plans this weekend with DS even though DH has to work. I think I'm going to take him somewhere for Friday night and Saturday, maybe just a small hike I'm not sure yet.

We do have yard work that needs done and I plan to do that Thursday and Friday this week since both DH and I have it off..
